FAQ

This internal club league is a curated competition among the players of the club. This helps the players to evaluate themselves in the game in terms of their game level and where they stand wrt others in the club. This also helps the organizers to optimize the games in each sessions. During the season each players play with a verity of players and learns from the games throughout the league season. At occasions the league toppers are sponsored for tournaments around the City to represent the club. All the toppers are also sponsored to all the tournaments organized by the club on the following seasons.


  • Who Can Join the CrazzyShuttlers Internal Club League?
  • Anyone who is a member of CrazzyShuttlers before the date of announcement of the league and
  • The member must have attended minimum 5 meetups with CrazzyShuttlers in any of our Venue
  • Can a non-member of CrazzyShuttlers be a partner of a member and join the league?
  • NO.
  • What are the Categories of the League?
  • Singles (Men & Women)
  • Doubles (Men & Women)
  • Mixed Doubles 
  • How does the league work?
  • A player registers for the league
  • Participants will be accepted till the cut-off date & the list of players will be announced in each category
  • Players can start playing with other participants right from the date of registration. There is no need to wait for an exclusive announcement to start the league
  • Each player of a category has to play against every other player from the same category before the end of season in Round Robin method.
  • For example: If there are 20 players registered for the Men’s Singles category, each player will play 19 Match (1 against 2, 3 … 20)
  • Each League Match consists a set of 3 League Games. Each Game will be of 15 points
  • Players will accumulate League Points and League Scores throughout the season
  • The players will be ranked based on their points

  • How will the fixture be scheduled as there are multiple venues?
  • The Organizer of CrazzyShuttlers have declared the venue and time slot which are our regular session’s timings. Contact the organisers for schedule.
  • In the slot (session of a day) you opt for, you can play other games as well along with the league matches. As you know the sessions / meetups last for 1.5hr to 2 hrs, there will be other players who may not be a part of the league but can play general games. For conducting league we will have extra courts booked or Limited RSVP as compared to other regular days.  
  • What if a player could not turn up @ the agreed venue?
  • The available player will get the point. But upon mutual agreement the match can be rescheduled as well. 
  • There will be no League Score for this match. Only league point will be awarded
  • What the fee for the league?
  • The registration fee is Rupees 250 per person per category 
  • What are the rules?
  • All generic badminton rules will be applied as per BWF standard
  • Which shuttle will be used?
  • Yonex Mavis 350 by default and will be provided by the Organizers
  • What if a player is out of City for a particular period of time due to vacation / any other personal reason in between the league season?
  • The player can still join the league. The only overhead: They have to stretch to finish the matches with all the opponents once they are back
  • Is it mandatory to play all the opponents in the same category?
  • No. It's not mandatory but you at least should complete playing with 60% of the total number of registered opponents. But the more opponents you play the more points you get.
  • I.E if 10 players are registered you are supposed to play with at least 6 players to be considered for ranking 
  • Terminology we will use during the game
  • 1 “League MATCH” = set of 3 “League GAMES
  • 1 “League GAME” = A generic badminton game of 15 points
  • League Point: The point a player accumulate during a League Match
  • 1 League Point for each MATCH a player play. 
  • So in each league match both opponents will accumulated 1 point just for playing the match irrespective of win or lose
  • 2 League Points is awarded for each League Game a player wins
  • So the players who wins the League Match is awarded with additional 4 League points
  • As the players has to win 2 out of the 3 league games of the League Match 
  • No League point awarded for losing a league game
  • So in one match a player can get max 5 points in a match [1 point (for playing the match) + 4 points (winning 2 games out of the set of 3 games)] 
  • The opponents gets 1 point by just playing the game. So even if you lose a match you get points. So just register and START competing.
  • League Score:
  • Each game will be monitored for the League Score. Typical example of scores are as per our daily games like 15-14, 15-12 etc. 
  • So the non-winner also has the chance to have League Score more than the winner and Shine. This will show your competency level. Win and Lose are just part of the game :)
  • Each match you play will give you 1 point.
  • Additionally, the winner will get 2 points for each win and losing team will get 0 points.
  • As all matches will be a set of 3 games. 
  • The Score will also be recorded for these games. This will have the significance in deciding league ties (If any) and also give statistics of winning margins of the player
  • Players with equal league points will be ranked on the basis of their League Score
  • How can a player can fix a Schedule match with opponent and RSVP for a meetup session?
  • The List of the participants are there in meetup. Talk to the organizers to get your match fixed with different opponents.
